Kinesiology: Associate in Arts
Description
The Associate in Arts in Kinesiology is designed for the student seeking to transfer yet not quite certain of their ultimate academic or career path. It is also designed for the student population who may be transferring to an out-of-state institution. Students who pursue this degree will be prepared in the fields of Kinesiology/Physical Education, exercise science, athletic training/sports medicine, and sports administration. Kinesiology studies the function and performance of the human body through the sciences of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and psychology. With a diverse curriculum, students can choose from courses such as anatomy and physiology, health and wellness, nutrition, sports psychology, sports administration, athletic training, and coaching. Courses will cover both theoretical and practical applications of the science of kinesiology, as it pertains to exercise, sport, and physical activity.
