HIST 2230 Women in American History from Indigenous America to the Present

This course examines the culture and history of women in North America from the time of the Native Americans in the pre-colonial era to the present. This course explores the ways in which ideas of gender and racial difference have evolved over time and how a wide variety of women both created and responded to shifting and contested cultural, political, economic, and social roles.
