RECR 1510 Introduction to Recreation and Leisure Service

This course offers a general orientation to the field of recreation and leisure services. It includes a history of the development of recreation, through cultural context, a survey of recreation and leisure services, theoretical foundations of recreation, description and interpretation of recreation as a form of community service and the nature and scope and significance of leisure and recreation as a social force in contemporary society.
