ECEF 1653 Discipline Techniques for Preschool Children
This course is designed to assist early care and education teachers in addressing challenging behavior in the classroom. This course teaches strategies for fostering empathy and respect among children, effective and appropriate responses to conflict, and how to assess and develop classroom enviroments that are sensitive to both culture and diverse abilities. Emphasis will be placed on teaching problem solving skills, conflict resolution strategies, positive reinforcement, and guidance and discipline techniques that are respectful of the child and family.
