The Taft College Children’s Center provides developmentally appropriate activities utilizing evidence based “Creative Curriculum.” We offer specialized services for children birth - age 5. Full-day services are provided for parents who are enrolled at Taft College, participating in a job training program, seeking employment, employed parents, or pregnant minor students enrolled at Taft Union High School or Buena Vista High School.
The Center offers three unique programs. Our state pre-school program is for children age 3-5 and provides activities to prepare them for kindergarten. The infant/toddler program gives quality daycare for children birth - 36 months of age and is partnered with Early Head Start. The Migrant program offers daycare to food industry workers for children age birth - 5.
Enrollment follows state guidelines and is based on income, need, and family size. It is non-discriminatory based and gives equal treatment and access to services without regard to race, color, creed, religion, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, marital or family status, or natural origin or ancestry.
Fees are set by the state and are according to family size and gross monthly income. For additional information call (661) 763-7850. Located at 729 Ash St, Taft, CA.
